DePaul's National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence – Rochester Area provides research-based substance abuse and problem gambling prevention services to a diverse population through education, support, resources, advocacy and referral.

Finger Lakes Prevention Resource Center

The Finger Lakes Prevention Resource Center (FL PRC), of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence-Rochester Area, began services on October 1, 2009.

The goals of the Finger Lakes PRC are to:

  • Identify existing coalitions
  • Provide technical assistance and training to foster growth and sustainability of existing coalitions
  • Provide technical assistance and training on the Strategic Prevention Framework components
  • Where there are no coalitions, provide technical assistance and training to foster the development of community coalitions
  • Provide evidence-based training and environmental strategies for regional prevention provider staff
