Content: Language matters! The language we use can be a powerful tool in both the community and in the clinical setting. Our words can either empower or they can further stigmatize individuals living with the disease of addiction. This workshop will examine the language we’ve developed over the years and look at ways we can now reframe the conversation in multiple settings using words that honor an individual’s journey to health, hope and recovery.
