Content: The underlying roots of addiction are due to trauma, attachment issues, and disconnection. Approximately 3 out of 4 people with SUD have experienced trauma in their lives. When a person experiences trauma, particularly during childhood or adolescence, it can alter the development and functioning of key brain regions involved in stress response, emotion regulation, and decision-making. Addressing the underlying roots of addiction promotes sustainable recovery and long-term sobriety.
Continental breakfast is provided.
