Content: During this presentation participants will gain an understanding of the components of an effective re-entry program. Discussed will be jail and prison re-entry, their differences and the issues that confront individuals when returning to the community. Recent doctoral research and findings utilizing concepts of self–reliance and self-control, help from others, altruism and disavowal of stigma will be reviewed.
