Content: This day-long training will build on basic group facilitation skills for practicing clinicians. After examining relevant counseling theory, we will explore different types of groups and some common dynamics and challenges including egalitarian involvement, reticence, vying for control, conflict, and norms that block process. Much of the day will be spent in a live group followed by observation and critique of facilitation skills and style, so involvement is strongly encouraged as a mechanism for learning. Sharing concerning special populations and settings will be included as well.

Continental breakfast is provided. Lunch is on your own.
